Spring Valley is hosting its first Changemakers Summit on Thursday, Feb. 19, bringing together residents, organizations and businesses for an evening of networking and inspiration.

The event runs from 5:30 p.m. at the STEAM Academy, 1001 Leland Street in Spring Valley. Organizers say the summit is designed to connect the community's diverse talent pool—from entrepreneurs to educators to nonprofit leaders—and showcase the resources available across the region.

"The main goal is to connect people and build inspiration," said Chris Pierce, president of the Spring Valley Community Alliance. "We have a lot of talented people here in Spring Valley from many walks of life, with many different talents, and we just want to bring them together."

The summit will feature booths from numerous community organizations, offering information on services ranging from youth programs to small business support. Attendees can network over appetizers and end the evening with an improv comedy show.

Pierce said the event reflects a broader push to strengthen Spring Valley's identity as a vibrant, connected community. The Spring Valley Community Alliance has launched several initiatives in recent months aimed at increasing civic engagement and highlighting local success stories.

The event is free and open to the public. More information is available through the Spring Valley Community Alliance.
