Chat with a Sheriff's Deputy Over Coffee — Two East County Events Today

By Santee Pulse Staff · Published March 18, 2026 · 3 min read

The San Diego County Sheriff's Office is hosting two 'Coffee with the Community' events in East County on Wednesday morning, offering residents a relaxed setting to meet with deputies, crime prevention specialists, and station command staff.

The Alpine Station is gathering at The Well Cafe, 1945 Alpine Blvd., Suite 2110, in Alpine from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Rancho San Diego Station is hosting its event at Target, 935 Sweetwater Road, in Spring Valley at the same time.

The events are designed to give community members a direct line to local law enforcement -- no 911 call, no formal report, just coffee and conversation. Residents are encouraged to share concerns about neighborhood safety, ask questions about crime trends, or simply introduce themselves.

The Coffee with the Community program runs throughout the year at various East County stations. No registration is required to attend.
