Santee Lakes is adding a new spring shopping event today, with more than 100 local vendors expected at the recreation preserve, according to Patch.
The inaugural Spring Market is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Lake 1 area. Organizers said the event builds on the popularity of the Ladies at the Lake Fall Market and is meant to give residents another chance to shop local in an outdoor setting.
Vendors are expected to sell bath and body products, clothing, candles, home décor, jewelry, makeup and skincare, pottery, preserves, spices, wall art and other handmade or specialty goods. Food and drinks will also be available, including Bella Beverage Catering, Burly and The Bean Coffee Roasters, Cal & Kai's Lemonade, BBQ House, Big Boyz Tacos and MJ's Eatery Philly Cheesesteaks.
For Santee residents, the market is a close-to-home weekend option at one of the city's most familiar gathering places. The event is free to attend, though Patch reported there will be a $10 parking fee.
