Santee families looking for a Father’s Day activity can help create a community mosaic that will become part of Mast Park, according to the City of Santee.
The painting event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 21, at Santee City Hall, Building 7, 10601 Magnolia Ave. The city says the finished mosaic will be permanently installed at Mast Park as part of Santee’s America 250 celebrations.
The activity is designed for families, including dads, grandparents and children. The city says no experience is needed, just creativity and patriotic spirit.
For Santee residents, the project adds a hands-on community piece to the city’s broader America 250 programming. It also gives families a chance to contribute to public artwork that is expected to remain visible in one of the city’s central parks.
Event details are available through the City of Santee calendar.
