Santee families have a free springtime outing to look forward to: the city's annual Bunny Trail event returns Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Town Center Community Park East, 550 Park Center Drive.

This year's event features a bunny trail experience instead of a traditional egg hunt. Families stroll from booth to booth collecting eggs at their own pace, then exchange their haul for a festive goodie bag. Participants can visit booths in any order and stop by as many as they like \u2014 just be sure to bring baskets.

Among the highlights: a performance by the White Dragon Martial Arts School\u2019s dragon dancers, hands-on kids\u2019 activities, face painting, photos with The Bunny, live music, and community booths. Organizers promise additional surprises throughout the park.

Food vendors on site will include Dilly\u2019s Ice Cream, Lino\u2019s Burgers and Chicken, and Pizzabilities.
