SPRING VALLEY — Looking for a reason to shop local and support East County students at the same time? The Mt. Miguel High School Foundation is hosting its annual Spring Craft Fair on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mount Miguel High School, 8585 Blossom Lane in Spring Valley.

The fair brings together local artisan vendors offering one-of-a-kind handcrafted items — from home décor and accessories to jewelry and handmade gifts. Organizers are billing it as a perfect opportunity to get ahead of Mother's Day shopping while directly supporting the school community.

"It will be a great place to get unique, one-of-a-kind items," said JoAnne Burke of the Mt. Miguel High School Foundation. "Get a head start on Mother's Day shopping while browsing a wonderful variety of handcrafted treasures from talented local vendors. You're sure to find thoughtful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and so much more — and maybe even a little something just for you, too!"

The Mt. Miguel High School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has raised more than $160,000 to support student scholarships and essential school equipment. It also operates the official Mt. Miguel Alumni website, keeping alumni connected from the inaugural class of 1958 through the present.

Mt. Miguel is part of the Grossmont Union High School District and is currently transitioning to an Early College High School model, enabling all students to earn college credits through partnerships with local colleges at no cost to families. Vendors interested in participating or community members seeking more information can contact JoAnne Burke at (619) 469-7350 or MtMiguelAlumni@gmail.com.
