Lantern Crest Senior Living will host its annual Hawaiian Luau from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 27 at The Plaza at Lantern Crest, 800 Lantern Crest Way in Santee, according to Patch.

The public event will feature Polynesian dance performances, tropical music and a buffet with huli huli chicken, Hawaiian-style ribs, teriyaki pineapple mahi mahi, Hawaiian fried rice, tropical salads, roasted pig and island-inspired desserts.

Tickets cost $38 per person, and reservations can be made by calling 619-971-3983, Patch reported.

For Santee residents, the luau adds another late-summer community event to the calendar, especially for families and neighbors looking for an indoor dining and entertainment option before Labor Day weekend.
