A driver who allegedly stole a truck is in custody after leading police on a vehicle and foot pursuit from San Diego freeway lanes to a drainage canal in El Cajon.
According to the El Cajon Police Department, officers located the suspect around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday evening, but the driver refused to stop and fled onto Interstate 8, initiating a pursuit.
