A man convicted in a two-day string of San Diego County home invasion robberies, including one in Lemon Grove, was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without the possibility of parole, according to City News Service reporting published by Patch.

Joshua Manu, 33, was convicted for his role in break-ins at homes in City Heights and Lemon Grove in February 2017. Prosecutors said the City Heights robbery involved victims being held at gunpoint and stabbed.

The next day, Manu and Derrick Harris Jr. entered a home on Edding Drive, where Harris was fatally shot during a struggle with a resident over a gun, prosecutors said. The homeowner's 22-year-old son was also shot and injured during the robbery.

Manu was later convicted by an El Cajon jury of 21 felony counts, including attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery.
