Santee is expected to warm into the mid-80s for Mother’s Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service forecast issued Friday.
The forecast calls for patchy fog after 11 p.m. Friday and again before 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by gradual clearing and a Saturday high near 84. Winds are expected to stay light before turning west at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Sunday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 85, followed by mostly clear conditions Sunday night and a low around 56. Monday is expected to be the warmest day in the current outlook, with sunshine and a high near 88.
The warmer pattern gives Santee families a clear window for Mother’s Day plans, youth sports and outdoor events, but residents should still plan around morning fog and stronger afternoon sun.
Temperatures are forecast to ease back into the low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday before settling near 80 later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.
