A suspect was arrested this week in connection with a deadly shooting reported months ago in Jamul, according to Patch reporting based on information from the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.

Larren Daniel, 22, was arrested Monday by the Sheriff's Homicide Unit with assistance from the San Diego Fugitive Task Force. He was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of murder in the death of Juliez Mosley.

The shooting was reported shortly after 12:20 a.m. March 18 in the 16000 block of Loose Creek Road. Deputies searched a home after a report of an assault with a deadly weapon but did not find any victims there, the sheriff's office said.

A short time later, the Alpine Fire Protection District told deputies that a shooting victim had arrived at its fire station. Emergency personnel provided medical aid, but Mosley died at the station, according to the report.

Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances and possible motive. Investigators said the shooting appeared isolated and that there was no known threat to the community.
