A new Business Network International chapter has launched in East County, giving local entrepreneurs another structured referral network as small businesses continue looking for in-person ways to grow.
East County Magazine reports that the chapter, called East County Networkers, officially formed in late spring with 39 local business owners and has already grown to 46 members ahead of a July 29 grand opening. The group is part of BNI San Diego, led by executive director Ed Wilson.
BNI chapters operate differently from open networking mixers because they allow only one professional per industry classification in each chapter. According to East County Magazine, the East County Networkers roster includes real estate agents, mortgage brokers, skilled trades and three local nonprofits.
For Santee business owners, the new chapter could matter because referral networks often shape where residents find contractors, service providers and local professional help. A nearby East County chapter also gives owners another alternative to driving west for networking events.
East County Magazine reported that local business owners can learn more through the BNI San Diego website or the regional office.
