Cafe Amor in Spring Valley is getting an East County spotlight for brunch dishes, desserts and coffee drinks, according to East County Magazine. The cafe is located at 3509 Sweetwater Springs Blvd., within easy reach of Santee and Rancho San Diego residents.

East County Magazine reported that the cafe serves sweet and savory crepes, pastries, hot and iced coffee drinks, shakes, salads, panini sandwiches, ice cream and special-event cakes. Staff told the publication that customer favorites include mini pancakes, the Nutella crepe, smoked salmon bagel, cheesecake crepe and tres leches cake.

The cafe has been open for more than three years, the report said. The same owners also operate Extraordinary Fruits next door, offering items such as fresh-squeezed juice drinks, smoothies, acai bowls and tortas.

Cafe Amor does not currently have a website, according to East County Magazine, but customers can order through DoorDash, Uber Eats and Postmates. The cafe is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends.

For Santee readers, this is the kind of nearby East County spot that can be easy to miss unless someone points it out. It is close enough for a weekend breakfast run, dessert stop or coffee detour without heading west into central San Diego.
