San Diego County Sheriff's deputies seized more than 20 firearms, military-style armored vests, and large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine after serving a high-risk search warrant at a Spring Valley home Friday morning.
Personnel with the SDSO served the warrant around 6 a.m. in the 10300 block of Del Rio Road. Because of the high-risk nature of the operation, deputies deployed "Urk," the department's quadruped robot, to clear the property before officers entered. Inside, investigators found firearms and firearm parts, body armor, and significant quantities of illegal narcotics.
Deputies also recovered two stolen motorcycles, a Home Depot rental truck, and a toy hauler trailer that had not yet been reported stolen. A small fraud lab used to create fake license plates and other counterfeit items was also discovered inside the residence.
Bruce Brian Ron, 34, was arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of narcotics and firearms, as well as multiple fraud-related offenses. He was booked into San Diego Central Jail. For East County residents concerned about property crime, the discovery of stolen vehicles and a fraud operation underscores ongoing enforcement efforts in the region.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station at 619-660-7090.
