SPRING VALLEY, Calif., April 20, 2026, three people were arrested this week after San Diego County Sheriff's deputies assisting Child Welfare Services found drugs inside a Spring Valley home during a child abuse investigation, according to Patch.
The search happened shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 9000 block of Eucalyptus Street, where deputies detained the occupants, Patch reported. Investigators said they found cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia throughout the home.
Authorities identified the people arrested as Karina Rice, 31, Diann Whitt, 67, and Jarron Wood, 30. Patch reported all three were booked on suspicion of child abuse and drug-related charges, and that Wood also had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Officials also said about 7.17 grams of methamphetamine were found in his possession.
Sheriff's officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
