Santee residents can drop off unwanted household items, shred documents and donate accepted goods Saturday morning at the city’s Spring 2026 Community Cleanup, Shred and Donation Event at City Hall.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to noon at 10601 Magnolia Ave. Residents may dispose of household items such as appliances, mattresses, furniture and tree limbs through WM, while Goodwill will accept donations on site. Proof of residency is required, and each household may dispose of up to four items.

Shredding is limited to five bankers boxes per household. The city says hazardous materials, including paint, oil, batteries and household or industrial chemicals, will not be accepted. Construction materials such as concrete, brick, drywall and roofing material are also excluded.

Commercial vehicles, including enclosed rental moving trucks and business vehicles, are not allowed. More details, including donation guidelines, are available through the City of Santee event listing and Goodwill San Diego.
