The San Diego County Sheriff's Department and Crime Stoppers are renewing a call for public assistance to identify a suspect responsible for a shooting in Spring Valley that occurred on September 21, 2025.

The incident took place just before 1:30 a.m. in the courtyard of the Hidden Meadow Apartment complex on Canyon Road. According to investigators, an unknown suspect fired a 9mm handgun approximately four times into a crowd, striking two juveniles. A bullet also entered a nearby apartment.

Both victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Surveillance video captured images of the suspect, who is described as a man wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station at (619) 660-7090 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
