The Santee Street Fair & Craft Beer Festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, bringing one of the city’s largest annual community events back to Town Center Parkway and Riverview Parkway.

The event is produced by the Santee Chamber of Commerce and is described by organizers as a one-day block party over Memorial Day weekend. The Chamber says the fair draws more than 30,000 attendees each year and highlights local businesses, food, entertainment and community groups.

According to the event listing, the fair will include more than 300 vendor booths, a craft beer festival with local and regional breweries, live music, entertainment, a Kids Zone and community performances.

For Santee residents, the event is both a family outing and a major visibility opportunity for local businesses. The Chamber says the fair is designed to connect businesses, residents and visitors from across East County while supporting local commerce.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 23.
