Santee Launches America250 Adventure Pass for April — Scan QR Codes, Win Prizes

By Santee Pulse Staff · Published April 1, 2026 · 3 min read

SANTEE — Looking for a reason to get out and explore your city this April? The City of Santee has launched the Stars, Stripes and Sights Adventure Pass, a community activity program that rewards families for discovering local landmarks, parks, and events.

The program works by finding and scanning hidden QR codes placed at locations and events throughout Santee. Each check-in earns an entry into a monthly opportunity drawing for America250-themed prizes — with additional entries earned for completing more activities.

The initiative is part of the nationwide America250 celebration, which marks the lead-up to the United States' 250th anniversary of independence in 2026. Santee is one of thousands of communities participating with local programming and activities.

April activities are now available, with new activities to be announced in May. Families can find the full list of participating locations and events on the City of Santee's website at cityofsanteeca.gov, under the City Special Events section.

The program is free to participate and open to all ages. Residents are encouraged to visit city parks, recreation facilities, community events, and other Santee landmarks to find the hidden QR codes.
