Santee School District will hold its third annual Multicultural Festival on Tuesday, May 5, at Chet F. Harritt School in Santee. According to the event listing posted through the Santee Chamber of Commerce, the festival is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m.
The district says the event will feature cultural displays from each school, live performances by student and community groups, and food representing a range of traditions. Organizers are promoting it as a family-friendly event open to the public.
The festival will take place at Chet F. Harritt School, 8120 Arlette St. The event description says it is intended to celebrate the many cultures represented in the local community through music, art, food, and tradition.
For Santee families, the festival adds a free public school-community event to the early May calendar.
