Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve will roll into fall with a run of events that includes workshops, live music, a fall market, Halloween programming and a December Water Lantern Festival, according to Patch.
The lineup begins in September with Create on Deck workshops scheduled through December, including fall, Halloween-season and holiday-themed projects. Concerts on Deck will also continue through September at the preserve.
A Bonsai Bar workshop is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 26. The Ladies at the Lake Fall Market, marking its 10th anniversary, is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 10.
Families will also see a pirate-themed Spooktacular Trunk-or-Treat from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 24, followed by the opening of trout season Nov. 7-8. The Water Lantern Festival is scheduled Dec. 12-13 from 2 to 7 p.m., with glowing lanterns on the lakes.
For Santee residents, the calendar keeps several seasonal events local at one of the city’s most recognizable outdoor destinations. More details and camping reservations are available through Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, with Patch credited as the source for the event roundup.
