The Santee City Council is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at City Hall, with an agenda that includes routine city business and several closed-session legal matters, according to the city's published agenda packet.

Consent-calendar items include approval of August legal-services spending, required updates to the city's local conflict-of-interest code, and amendments to city agreements for plumbing repair, maintenance and custodial services. Consent items are typically approved together unless a council member, staff member or member of the public requests separate discussion.

The agenda also lists two closed-session items. One involves potential city litigation related to a possible receivership at 9245 Heatherdale Street in Santee. Another cites significant exposure to litigation in four potential cases involving bleachers at Town Center Community Park, Santee's mobilehome rent control system, Better Buzz at 8890 Cuyamaca Street and the city's retail cannabis regulations.
