More than 2 million San Diego County voters will receive postcards explaining voting options for the Nov. 3 Gubernatorial General Election, according to Patch.

The postcards from the county Registrar of Voters outline how registered voters can cast ballots by mail, at official ballot drop boxes or in person at vote centers. Ballots are expected to arrive the week of Oct. 5.

All registered voters will receive a mail ballot, Patch reported. Voters can return ballots with no postage required, use an official ballot drop box beginning Oct. 6 or vote in person at a vote center starting Oct. 24.

For Santee residents, the main dates to watch are Oct. 5, when in-person voting begins at the Registrar of Voters office in Kearny Mesa; Oct. 24, when select vote centers open; Oct. 31, when all vote centers are expected to be open daily; and Nov. 3, Election Day.

On Election Day, vote centers, ballot drop boxes and the Registrar of Voters office will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The county expects to post vote center locations in September at sdvote.com.
