In El Cajon, a demonstration is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. near Parkway Plaza at the corner of Magnolia Avenue and Fletcher Parkway. A separate event in Ramona is set for 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the southwest corner of 10th Street and Main Street.
The larger San Diego event is planned for Waterfront Park, 1600 Pacific Highway, from 10 a.m. to noon. Over 3,000 events are registered nationwide according to organizers, with the flagship rally in Minneapolis-Saint Paul. The coalition emphasizes nonviolent participation and is offering Know Your Rights training through the ACLU ahead of Saturday.
