Lakeside Fire Protection District will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 9, at Lakeside Fire Station 2, according to East County Magazine.
Visitors will be able to see fire engines, meet fire personnel, learn CPR and tour the station. The event costs $5 per person, with proceeds going to Lakeside Firefighters Charity.
The charity supports firefighters and families of firefighters facing hardships, according to the nonprofit information cited by East County Magazine. Previous Lakeside pancake breakfasts have included pancakes, eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee.
The station is at 12216 Lakeside Ave. in Lakeside. For Santee and East County families, the breakfast offers a nearby way to meet local first responders while supporting a firefighter charity.
