One person was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle crash at a rural road crossing near El Capitan Reservoir, according to Patch.

The crash happened about 11 a.m. on El Monte Road at El Cajon Mountain Truck Trail in Lakeside, the California Highway Patrol reported. The victim died at the scene, and the person's identity had not been released as of Patch's report.
