La Mesa police were still searching Sunday for Harold Rose, a 62-year-old at-risk man who went missing from his home over the weekend, according to City News Service and ABC 10News.
Police said Rose was last seen around 9 a.m. Saturday in the 5600 block of Amaya Drive. Authorities said he has dementia and apparently wandered away from home.
Detectives said Rose rode the MTS trolley to downtown La Mesa and then walked near Fourth Street and La Mesa Boulevard shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday. He may also have been seen Saturday afternoon at the Wendy's at 8749 Campo Road, according to the report.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert to help locate him. La Mesa is part of the East County corridor, and Campo Road is a familiar route for residents traveling between La Mesa, Spring Valley and nearby communities.
Anyone with information is asked to call the La Mesa Police Department at 619-667-1400. Anyone who believes they may have located Rose should call 911.
