A $5 side bet turned into a $1,097,506.50 jackpot this week for a blackjack player at Jamul Casino Resort, Patch reported Wednesday.
Casino officials said the winner, identified as Sweetwater Rewards member Myrna D., hit the STAX Super 4 Royal Flush jackpot while playing blackjack. Patch reported that she was dealt a queen and jack of diamonds while the dealer revealed an ace and king of diamonds, completing the jackpot combination.
The casino said the jackpot was triggered through the STAX Super 4 side bet. Myrna did not disclose her last name, according to the report.
