East County High Schools Prepare to Graduate 4,725 Students This Week

Grossmont Union High School District will graduate 4,725 students this week, with ceremonies scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, and Thursday, June 4, according to East County Magazine.

The district said the graduating class includes students from nine comprehensive high schools, two independent charter schools, one middle college high school, one Project Based Learning school of choice and two special education academies.

For Santee families, the local numbers include 418 graduates from Santana High School and 315 from West Hills High School. Other East County campuses include Granite Hills, Grossmont, Helix Charter, El Capitan, Valhalla, Monte Vista, Mount Miguel and El Cajon Valley.

GUHSD serves more than 16,000 students across 465 square miles, including Santee, El Cajon, Lemon Grove, most of La Mesa, parts of San Diego and several unincorporated East County communities.
