A Grossmont High School staff member was arrested Monday after an El Cajon Police Department investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student, according to a city press release.
Police said Jayden Joe Lang, 19, of San Diego, was arrested Aug. 24 on 12 felony charges, including statutory rape. The department said the relationship allegedly occurred for about one month between March and April 2026.
According to the release, Grossmont Union High School District staff notified police in April after discovering the alleged relationship. The district immediately terminated Lang's employment, police said.
El Cajon police said investigators obtained an arrest warrant after a thorough investigation and that there are no other known incidents involving the suspect.
