Grossmont and Cuyamaca colleges will award more than 6,230 degrees and certificates to nearly 2,500 graduates in 2026, according to East County Magazine.
More than 900 graduates are expected to participate in commencement ceremonies next week. Cuyamaca College is scheduled to hold its ceremony Wednesday, June 3, at the Samuel M. Ciccati Performing Arts Center, while Grossmont College's ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, at Viejas Arena.
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is one of East County's major education and workforce pipelines, serving students from Santee, El Cajon, Lakeside and nearby communities. The district said more than 1,700 Associate Degrees for Transfer will be awarded this year.
East County Magazine reported that Cuyamaca is awarding 358 more degrees than in 2025, while more than 600 Grossmont students are graduating with honors.
