Fire crews contained a roughly one-acre vegetation fire Saturday in the La Cresta area of unincorporated El Cajon after a temporary evacuation warning, according to NBC 7 San Diego and public safety updates cited in its report.

The fire was reported near Old Bend Road and La Cresta Road, with firefighting and law enforcement activity in the community. NBC 7 reported that the warning covered nearby Genasys Protect zones and that Granite Hills High School was named as the temporary evacuation point.

Officials later lifted the warning after containment improved. NBC 7 reported that no structures were damaged and no injuries were reported, and that some aerial and ground resources had been released by early afternoon.
