By Santee Pulse Staff · Published April 5, 2026 · 3 min read

East County has a busy run of spring events through mid-April and into May, with family-friendly festivals, live music, cultural events and outdoor activities across the region.

Highlights include the San Diego State University Pow Wow on April 11, Lakeside’s Western Days Parade and Rodeo (April 23–26), and a Spring Garden Festival and Butterfly Release at the Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College on April 25.

Other upcoming dates include county library spring break programming (April 13–17), concerts and performances in Poway and El Cajon, and community events in Ramona, Julian and Santa Ysabel.

For residents in Santee and neighboring East County communities, it’s a useful moment to double-check schedules, ticket requirements and start times before heading out — some events require reservations or have limited capacity.

A full list of events and details is available from East County Magazine.
