A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle early Sunday on state Route 67 in Bostonia, according to City News Service and ABC 10News.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened about 2:25 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway, just north of East Bradley Avenue. CHP said the pedestrian was in the southbound lanes before the collision.
Authorities closed the affected lanes during the investigation and reopened all lanes at 4:41 a.m., according to the report.
The crash happened just north of El Cajon in the Bostonia area, a route used by many East County drivers traveling between Santee, Lakeside and Interstate 8.
No other immediate information was available Sunday morning.
