Alumicraft LLC, an off-road racing vehicle manufacturer based in Santee, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California, according to court filings submitted March 3, 2026.
The company, which has operated under the names Alumicraft Racecars and Alumi Craft, lists its principal place of business at 10815 Wheatlands Avenue in Santee. Court documents show total assets of just $22,761.75 against total liabilities of $16.7 million โ a stark imbalance that signals the company has no path to repay creditors.
The bulk of Alumicraft's debt stems from a $15.23 million unsecured claim by the estate of Brian Kuhnhenn, tied to a sister-state judgment. The filing also lists a $401,154.98 claim by Split Mountain Industrial Properties related to a lease, smaller Chase Bank credit card debts, and a $954,027.33 secured claim by Matthew Fleming backed by the company's equipment and receivables.
Financial disclosures reveal a dramatic revenue collapse: Alumicraft reported $3.63 million in gross revenue in 2023, which fell to $2.98 million in 2024 before plummeting to just $370,833.93 in 2025. The company stated it has no funds available for unsecured creditors after administrative expenses are paid.
The petition was signed by Tristan Fleming, listed as Alumicraft's managing member and sole owner. The filing lists several legal proceedings involving the company, including a wrongful death case filed by the Kuhnhenn estate in Multnomah County, Oregon โ though that case is not currently pending โ and cross-litigation with Alumi Craft Inc. in San Diego Superior Court over breach of contract claims, which remains pending. The bankruptcy case is being handled by San Diego attorney Craig E. Dwyer.
